Hello!
I am a student at the swedish school SOFE (School of Future Entertainment) and During the forthcoming months im looking to build up a portfolio as an Technical Artist and using it to search for an internship during the first half of the next year, at this stage i have plans to show 2 sets of rigs (humanoid and one with features like wings) and some scripts (one with alot of inspiration from ben cloward’s rig creater:wink:). Also i have ideas to put a facial rig in aswell.
And my question to you is, what do you think i should put into this portfolio aswell?
Welcome!
Besides the rigs (I’d want to see wireframes, code snippets, videos of them in action, and an actual d/l would be the best really) and the scripts (hopefully unencrypted so we can evaluate your coding style/finesse), well then for a TA spot I’d also like to see some artwork. These spots usually require an artist with a technical bent, not the opposite.
If you’re shooting for a position in a game company, in-game shots would really help. They would show that you at least know how to get your art into an actual game.
Incidentally, proper grammar should be a part of any text on your site. Most TAs are quite aware of incorrect punctuation, capitalization, etc. (and understandably so).
Post a link when you’re ready!
Thank you!
About your comment on my grammar: I’m often quite proper when it comes to posting on forums, but I don’t really know what happened here :blank:(sorry).
