This is my first post here and hopefully you’ll be able to offer me some advice. I’m primarily a character artist but have recently had to take on a rigging task for a mod i am currently working on so i’m in a bit over my head here.
Anyways the problem i’m having is i’ve been given a biped to resize to match another character model, now i am able to scale the biped without problem, however the rigger who created the rig added a set of reference bones which control the twist in the forearms, these bones are also biped bones but \re currently greyed out and i am unable to scale them alongside or individually to the original biped.
Ok, so i’ve managed to solve that problem now, however i have come across afurther problem. I’m trying to position the root of my biped individually to the pelvis, however if i unlink the pelvis and position the root seperately as soon as i relink the pelvis it snaps back into place on the root, is there anyway to prevent this snap from happening and leaving the pelvis in its own position?
I don’t have a lot of biped experience, so my first advice would be to run screaming from it and go roll your own rig.
But if that’s not actually useful advice, next I’d see if I couldn’t place a dummy bone in between the root and the pelvis and do all the linking with that bone.
