3rd Party Cloth Simulation - Experiences

I’m curious if others have had experience with any of the 3rd party cloth simulation solutions out there. There only seem to be a few to actually choose from including Havok, Apex, and Shroud. We have been rolling our own for sometime but I’d be interested to hear if others had anything they could share regarding any of these packages. Short term evaluations don’t always shed light on the long term production gotcha’s that may occur.

Any input you might have on the following would be great to see.

Focus for simulation
[ul]
[li]main character[/li][li]all npc’s[/li][li]environmental[/li][/ul]

Time spent on assets
[ul]
[li]Does this become one person’s focus the entire project?[/li][li]General part of the rigging workflow?[/li][/ul]

Quality of the simulation
[ul]
[li]Good collision during fast motion?[/li][li]Teleporting issues that may include popping cloth?[/li][/ul]

Feel free to respond privately.
Thanks!

There’s also Marvelous Designer which is super awesome.
All your questions are an input of project and studio size, so there isn’t a fix answer.

I’m familiar with Marvelous Designer, it just appears to be a creation tool. They don’t have a run-time solution, which is not specifically noted above, but more precisely what I was looking for.

Also, I was looking for any general feedback more than specifics, but I see what you are saying.
