Just a heads up if you haven’t yet upgraded and if you are using interop a lot between Maya and 3dsmax. Custom Attributes on objects are now missing upon 3dsmax import or Send To, if you happen to use that feature. This bug has been reported so fingers crossed on a quick turn-around. If you use FBX heavily its probably a good idea to get very familiar with the FBX sdk. It has proven very useful where the I/O plugins fall short.
